If you use a knife to light a fire, use only the back of the knife blade, it is not recommended to use the sharp side of the knife blade when lighting a fire! (It will damage the knife blade). Pull the knife blade or spark plate slowly and firmly into the long firestick. The firestick must not be pressed against a surface/object that will put pressure on the firestick.
